A simple story.
This afternoon, whilst sitting alone in my apartment all day
I opened my front door,
and walked out into the sunlight.
I wanted to take photos.
That was the ONLY thing on my to-do list.
The cool, spring wind brushed past my face and I smiled.
Not to sound completely cliche here… but every single time that I walk outside now,
I tend to smile.
I am grateful to step out of my space and into the fresh air.
I feel a sense of privilege.
bay winds
quiet streets
blaring sunlight
sound of tires on gravel
While on my bike, I stopped in the middle of my ride because of a puddle.
The rippling of the water caught my eye and I stopped.
I didn’t care if it took more time to get off of my bike.
I took out my camera and was capturing a wet patch of water on the pavement.
I took a picture of a puddle.
I noticed it.
That was all.
This isn’t even about the puddle.
It’s about taking note
of the little things.
