“What’s the difference between a satin paper, Giclee paper vs Giclee canvas print?”

 

  • satin paper prints are printed on high-resolution satin finish paper (sizes 8.5”x11” - 12”x18”) with a high-quality inkjet system

  • professional Giclee paper prints are listed in the sizes 16”x24" size and above

  • paper prints are printed on paper while the canvas ones are printed on a canvas material (photo reference above)


  • canvas options for ones with added oil paint embellishments (an embellishment is a fancy word for paint smudge) and/or without hand-embellishments

  • a hand-embellished print is most like the original and a one-of-a-kind print

  • i use oil paints to match the original color to the Giclee ink with certain colors — highlighting the most vibrant parts of the piece – each one can vary in appearance

  • to add a hand-embellished canvas to your cart - look for the label with asterisks ***

  • canvas prints include certificate of authenticity

“How does sizing work?”

the size listed is based on paper or canvas size not image (image is optimized to paper/canvas size)

*** i don’t offer stretching - but i do add extra inches in the margins for you if you’d like to stretch upon receiving print

  • stretching inches are not added unless noted in (parenthesis) in option list

  • I assume that my collectors frame them unless otherwise noted - there is a (.5” - 2”) border added without selecting the (added inches) option at checkout.

  • IF YOU’D LIKE TO STRETCH YOUR CANVAS PRINT - an option for additional inches for a white border (between 2-3”) is available when you checkout — look for options with parenthesis.

  • please note: the larger prints (24” x 36” and above have 2” border space) so no need for extra selection

When I receive this question from collectors, I’m often unsure which direction to lead because it is usually an apples to oranges conversation. Depending on the print, there are endless opportunities for matting with frame colors and materials. I personally go for classic colors (gold, black, white or natural wood tones.)

My one recommendation is to be careful with glass framing on hand-embellished prints - over time this could pull away at the impasto medium if removed from frame. For hand-embellished prints - I recommend leaving the frame open to breathe. This also shows off the texture as well.

I recommend visiting a local framer and/or Michael’s for professional framing - they will often know what’s best and direct you from there. In the future I’d love to offer custom framing for prints, but at this moment, I only offer for originals.

when will i receive a confirmation email?

upon ordering, you will receive a confirmation email — after your order is fulfilled, you will receive your tracking number and shipping information.

how long will it take to receive my print?

for satin paper prints, expect fulfillment email within 2-4 weeks and for canvas, hand-embellished prints, please allow 4-5 weeks for shipment preparation — i like to take my time with each hand-embellished print.

do orders come framed or stretched?

i do not offer custom framing or stretching for prints BUT i do offer custom framing for my originals. i make the float frames from scratch (contact me here) for custom framing for originals details) paper prints 12 x 18” or smaller come in a rigid mailer while 16”x24” paper/canvas prints and above come in a heavy duty tube.

do you ship internationally?

YESSS! It is so exciting when I receive an international order and my pleasure to make it happen for you. If you don’t see your country listed under shipping option at checkout, please feel free to contact me here so I can add your country to the list.

can I cancel my order?

all of my prints are printed to order - therefore, cancellations are only accepted within 24-48 hours of placing the order. If you receive a damaged print, please take a photograph and send to me for a replacement.

can i change the shipping address?

if you've provided me with the wrong shipping address... no worries. please reach out to me here by telling me the order number and the new address. *If your order was already shipped, I cannot change address upon mailing.
