Meet Halie Torris | Los Angeles Figurative Oil Painter

I'm Halie Torris, a Los Angeles-based figurative oil painter exploring intimacy, desire, and human connection through the sapphic gaze.

Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I studied graphic design at Seton Hill University before finding my way to oil painting.

What began as a creative exploration eventually became my full-time career. Over the years, I've developed an artistic practice centered around the female form and the intimate moments that connect us.

In September 2025, I moved to Los Angeles, where I continue to create and develop my work from my studio.

Through my paintings, I hope to capture moments that feel familiar, personal, and deeply human.
